Tired of this crap...
It seems like almost everytime I try doing a mission for the first time, especially the car chases, I always chase them down to the point where it tells me to take the bad guys out or they run on foot....where shortly after I get shot with a single bullet to put me down.....it's fucking stupid and it pisses me off....
I was doing a mission last night where I was chasing a car and they crashed and went on foot, well I was BARELY still moving when I got out of the car and when I hit the road I died....

Try to conserve all the health you can during missions. Like Come to a complete stop before getting out. You can buy body armor from the gun shops. Also when in missions and not pressed for time you can stop at any food shop and regain your health.

My guess is you aren't starting the mission with full health to begin with. Get in an ambulance, eat some hot dogs, or even save to get your health to full before starting the mission. If niko gets shot at close range with something like a shot gun he might die in one shot, but pistol or smg bullets only do about 20% damage or less. When the guy gets out on foot try to shoot him in the back. He'll most likely fall over, and you can just pop his head while he's on the ground. |
