Matches on Happiness Island, pure chaos.

some people dont know how to host a match properly.

i am kind of disappointed with multiplayer. gta online is great, dont get me wrong, but it needs to be cleaned up a little. i hate having to load back into the single player when the host disconnects and sometimes finding good games are hard, too many people like to play with auto aim for some reason

it would be coo if they made rooms. this way i can see how many people are in that room and which settings they have before joining.

i think its great. its just think its gonna take some time for players to get used to how it should run, and how to tweak the settings.

choose a smaller map, and customize gun types for the mode you are playing.

the multiplayers good.. but the system it uses to search for a match is shite, sometimes u find a decent match with good settings, sometimes u get utter crap or people who dont play by the rules properly, in freeroam and tdm i dont think this is so bad, but sometimes the settings on some games really are terrible

The multiplayer is shit atm. They should make the party system much simpler, like Halo 3 or Cod4 where you get everyone in a room and then go into a game. Having to load up the whole island, get everyone in and then start the game is too annoying. I haven't found myself playing it for a long period of time yet either like I can on Cod4. Gets really boring after an hour at the most.

Ok, let me get this straight. You want an automatic matching system that detects whether or not people play by the rules properly?

I don't think you're ever going to be satisfied.

The MP is not perfect, but it actually works a lot better than I thought it would. It runs very smoothly for the most part, and the graphics don't take much of a hit at all. I thought it would be nothing more than a hood ornament on a very superb SP game, but instead it provides an extremely fun diversion and a chance to tear shit up with friends (I actually know people that haven't touched the SP yet).

I think some folks are forgetting how much time, effort and of course money went into creating the graphics engine, innumerable models, storyline, licensing and integrating music, original humor.... jeez the list just goes on. If it was primarily a MP game, then it would probably have most of the things you want with it.

I can't stand people whining about "oh I wish this part was more like halo3 or CoD4 blah blah blah". I applaud R* for trying something different, even if may require an extra 5 second load time. I also really like how you can roam the party area while gathering friends. Much more fun than just sitting in a lobby talking.

Gaming revolutions don't happen from copying other designers and saying "Oh, well this worked so well for them, let's just be unoriginal and mimick it".

i wasnt whining and i know they couldnt improve the search system to find players who play by the rules, i also think the mp is exsteamly fun and theres nothing wrong with the game online, i just think if they used a system like gow did so u can see the matchs listed and the settings used it'd just be alot simplier to find a good game.. no MP is perfect im just sharing my opinion

I have to say the GTA IV multiplayer was disappointing. First it was a pain in the ass to setup a game, then people had a tendency to leave the game early, and finally I was never able to properly figure out how to setup a game. Whenever I would setup a game the city would be empty. No cars, no pedestrians, and no cops.

When I beat the single player I will give the multiplayer another chance, try to figure out what I am doing wrong, and see if I can enjoy multiplayer the way I enjoy single player. BTW, how do you access these CO-OP missions I heard about?
