GTA4 = a dissapointment? - Page 2

I dont think it was a dissapointment no, i wasn't one of the people who was raving about it saying it was gonna be a 10/10 so i think it was fine.

its not that i dont like it- i think its a really good game its just that after reading the reviews and seeing the amazing scores it was getting i think i was just a little dissapointed when i actually played the game. i would probly give it 8.5 - 9.0/10.
and yes i agree that most of the online modes can get rather boring - free roam, party mode and i dont think it gets close 2 being as good as games such as GOW, halo3 and cod4.

ya, if the camera turned automaticly.. THAT wud be annoying, u cud be trying to look at a person on the street ur gona kill then cuz u move ur car the camera moves with it.. that wud be more annoying then moving the camera myself

no i dont think it was a disapointed, it is just like old gta's with updated graphics and a few new stuff like phones, people getting caught on car door handels ect. i can still play online for hours and not get bored yet

i love the fighting in it as well hehe

If you have huge expectations for things you'll always be disappointed.

I think the game is brilliant but then I don't play for 5 hours a night, I normally play about 2 hours one week night and about 4 over the weekend. I'm in no hurry to finish it and as such am really enjoying it...

The online death match is ok imo... I only got a 360 to play this game so haven't played Halo 3 or COD4 yet but from what I gather I don't see how you can cmpare them, GTA is not a standard FPS really....

The online races are quality though, it's really good listening to loads of people getting wound up about big crashes on corners, etc...

Plus, I've started winning a few of them now, making it even more fun.

Big disappointment in my eyes, Oh well I traded it in and got Grid for £5.

if you didn't beat the game your missing out. it shouldn't be a 10/10, but it should be pretty damn close. this game was awsome after beating it, but there was a few online problems with connections.

Everybody's going to be dissapointed if they get it, thinking its a 10/10 game.

It really is a great game, but all the hype did quite the opposite of making people rave about it. If the reviews weren't so flawless and scores so high for the game, people would be praising it heavily.

So yes, if you're gonna believe that a game can be perfect, then you'll be dissapointed for sure.

I concur. Its definately a good game online & offline. Only reason one might be disappointed is if you believed the overly optimistic game reviews giving near perfect to perfect scores.
