The only thing that was disappointing for me were the side missions/extra activities. Saints Row seems to have them beat on that.

^ Yeah same here. There's nothing to do toher than the main missions (which got boring). I bet they are gonna sell them in DLC later on for money.

A bit dissapointed
I think the game is great and everything, but it's also very frustrating. i agree with what somebody said about driving cars, like the handling on the cars just suck. man i just hate chasing people and the fact that you have to start at the very beginning of every mission when you die in it is the most frustrating thing about the game. could they not save when you came to a loading screen?. and it does not desserve a 10, maybe 8,5.

I'll give that... it was somewhat overrated. So was Halo 3. Halo 3's single player longevity can't hold a candle to IV's, IMO. I'm still popping GTA IV in and playing it for 2 hours straight, and i'm not even doing any campaign-related gameplay; just f...ing around. The addictive Halo MP is wearing off, and i find myself playing it for an hour online, and getting really bored, really fast. And i'd never play Halo's campaign more than twice.
So, yes, overrated, but not by much if you ask me. The depth of the game needed to be a little more. With that said, it still one of the best games to come out this generation. GTA IV trumps Saints Row, but Saints Row had a lot more depth as far as things you could do in it. And because Rockstar chose not to go too deep with it, Saints Row 2 will be looking really good in October when it comes out. Hopefully it will be a decent upgrade in physics and gameplay than in the first. With that, a new story and a new plot; Saints Row 2 may take away some of my time with IV.

This game was a huge dissapointment, I've been playing the GTA series since the second one and I still haven't beat this game yet...

Its a good, solid game but some elements were missed out; the biggest one being money. What's the point in having a questline basically about making money when there's nothing to spend it on? No house customisation, you can buy suits and food. Thats about it.

Good game but not 'great'.....i seemed to get bored after playing it for a while...imo it shouldve got a rating of 7.5/10

The game is good for, I mean I wouldn't mind having car customisation, veriety and rewards for accomplishing things, but it still is pretty good. I'm looking forward to the DLC.
