Playing GTA Online
Anyone know why it wont let me play GTA IV online?

I can play any of my other games online so it's not my connection or anything, but for some reason whenever I try and join an online GTA IV game I get a message saying something like "The game session no longer exists, returning to single player" or "Unable to connect, returning to single player". I know the game session DOES exist because on some of these occassions I'm trying to play with my brother, who is jus tin the next room.

Any ideas?

Same here, I'm convinced its something with my router. It'll let me play with some of my friends, and then it won't let me play with others. A real letdown, you think Microsoft could make it so you could play with anyone.

The problem is I've looked all around the internet and no one has any suggestions. I even emailed Rockstar (Take 2) and they said they coulnd't help either...It's really poor tbh.

hmmmz well gta online is fine for me i can always get on ok every time

maybe its ur router like Jamesus suggested, i have a router tho its a linksys but apart from that i cant see any other possible reason why u cant find any games if ur other games are finding matches online

Exactly, that's what throws me. If it were a problem with my router or network etc surely I would not be able to play any games online? Just yesterday I played Forza against my brother and a few hours ago I was playing Battlefield 2 online...
