Why do I die instantly?

In deathmatch? I can sit there with and AK-47 shooting someone with headshots with no armour and there health will be going down a bar every 3 or 4 seconds while i take 2 shots with a pistol and I'm dead.

And who else thinks the traffic in races is ridiculous? I was in a race yesterday and came up to an intersection with a car driving across, when i got closer it slammed on the brakes so i turned to the right of the car and it hit it so i turned to the left so the car hit the brakes and started reversing. IMO thats just going to far with the rigged traffic.

I get it too ocasionaly, I would be shooting a guy in the head with a Shotgun at point blank range. While he pulls out a pistol and kills me in a few shots.

Might just be lag.
