GTA 4 DLC Does not work!

Hi Guys and Girls,

Sorry if this has been discussed before but is there any way around this solution.

My friend does not have an internet connection but wanted 'The Lost and the Damned' download. He brought his Hard Drive to mine, got a 1 month Live Card and downloaded it onto his Hard Drive. When he took it home it would not work on his xbox! When he brought the Hard Drive back to mine it worked and we played the download and even made a save to see if that would work. When he took his Hard Drive back and tried to load the save it said that it was not supported.

Does the DLC need an active xbox live account to work or is it something to do with the fact that he brought his hard drive but used my game disk to play it with?

Any help would be great.

Noob yes this question has been asked like a million times

if you downloaded it on YOUR xbox, then it'll be on YOUR xbox. It dosn't matter if you used his hard drive, because when you downloaded it, it also stored onto you're actual xbox. Its to stop piracy.

why would it have anything to do with the DISK? lmfao

If you swap xbox's and you have his xbox then he'll be able to play it at his house. Or if you cant do that then you should be able to just have you're mate bring his xbox round, along with his hard drive, and redownload it but with his harddrive and his XBOX

I have some information regarding that so i wanna share that with you.....i honestly think TLAD was the best dlc ever...and this new DLC looks even better rockstar does such a good job on GTA...i really dont understand the haters and ppl saying its overrated...that new trailer should shut them up for now anyway
