Lips microphone compatible with Guitar Hero??

I know that this topic has been addressed before, but I was just hoping that somebody might have some new insight into this. I have Guitar Hero World Tour, that I bought with the two guitars. I also have Lips that has two wireless mics. I had heard that a patch was supposed to be coming out to make the mics compatible with RockBand, but haven't heard much about GHWT. I have seen a mic for Guitar Hero for sale at Walmart, and I think I might buy it, but I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't an update about the Lips mics.
