Synopsis
Knowing all too well that the Halo community contains a number of XBL star players, we would like YOU to show off your true Matchmaking skills to the community. Team Shrine has selected 7 (Bungie's coined number) medals from the ranked medal chest and wants to see who can obtain them the fasted legitimately.
The 7 Medals
Open Season! - Kill 10 opponents in a row with the shotgun without dying.
Slice 'N Dice! - Kill 10 opponents in a row with a sword without dying.
Vehicular Manslaughter! - Splatter 10 opponents in a row with a vehicle without dying.
Sharpshooter! - Kill 10 opponents in a row with a sniper weapon without dying.
Invincible! - Kill 30 opponents in a row without dying.
Extermination! - Get an overkill on an opposing team that results in all of the team being dead.
Perfection! - Win a slayer game with a score of 15 kills or more without dying.
Requirements
The goal is to obtain all seven medals above from the start date of this contest in a ranked playlist. The winner will be required to provide links to the games where the medal was obtained along with as well as a full-length film of each of the games on his or her fileshare *(totalling seven films). The films must show the entire game, so no film clips please.
US based accounts will be able to win points for their own accounts, but due to the fact that points are region specific, contestants living outside the US will need to create a US-based silver account to receive any points.
The Prize!
First place winners will receive 1600 M$ points to download to their Xbox. Hopefully this will encourage people to by the new maps, but those who already have them may still compete.
Q&A
Q: What if I already have the medals?
A: The contest isn't about you getting the medals *period*, but how fast you can get them from today onward. If you already have one or even all of the medals listed, it doesn't hurt to get more :-)
Q: I got the medals but my film is corrupt or it won't upload to my fileshare. What do I do?
A: Obviously you need to get them again...
Q: Why ranked?
A: Between the three major game types (ranked, social, custom), ranked is by far the most challenging.
Q: How long is the contest?
A: Until someone wins. The first to post AND pm me their results wins the 1600 if all medals are obtained legitely.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: Simple. Bungie works hard to roll out the content they provide for us. I'd like to see more people by this map pack and also save up for the next one. Long live Bungie!
Q: Why not add Killionaire to the mix? You have the other top 3 medals up there.
A: We want the contest to be difficult but not impossible. I've never seen a real legit ranked killionaire and don't expect the community to destroy their stats in ranked to get one. The others are far easier to obtain. But who's to say there may not be a reward for someone who can obtain it? Hmmmm... :-)
Q: I don't have Bungie Pro. How will I be able to upload all seven films?
A: After posting your win and PMing me as well, post the first six into your fileshare. Once they are reviewed, you will receive a PM requesting you upload the seventh film in place of the first.
Second Place
Until someone wins the 1600, you may also try for second place for a grand total of 800 M$ points. What does this require? A capture card and excellent editing techniques. Post a video of your most impressive medal on youtube and allow for me and the community to rate it. The winner will receive 800 M$ points.
