But boy, does it suck. I was so hyped for this... Hopefully we will still get the announcement sometime soon, but we can't be sure what Microsoft are making Bungie do, they better not make Bungie let them make the announcement.

Microsoft has no afiliation with Bungie any more. Bungie can do what ever they want now.

Though they are no longer owned by Microsoft, MS Game Studios is still going to be their PUBLISHER. As of late, that's the case.

Yeah, Bungie are with MS for any Halo project, which their new project has been confirmed as being. So, what we know so far;

- Bungie are making a new halo game (rumours say it may be a Third person shooter prequel, involving a squad of ODSTs)
- MS own the rights to Halo, so NO, we won't see a Halo game on the PS3 any time soon (thank you god!) unless MS sell Halo (unlikely, for now)
- MS are publishing it.
- MS pulled the announcment from E3, therefore MS suck
- The SI has seemingly dissapeared from the Bungie forums... for now...

When did they confirm what? that MS are publishing it? Oh, that it's a new halo? Well, I'll look for a link, but you can go on B.net and checkout the forums.

MS 'accidently' let slip that the announcment they cancelled was a new Halo. No doubt that would have pissed off Bungie.

Here’s something to add to all the E3 drama this week about Bungie Studios‘ canceled/postponed/hyped debut of a new game…

In an interview shot for MTV News on Tuesday, Microsoft’s head of Xbox business Don Mattrick, confirmed to me that Bungie is indeed working on a new “Halo” game of some sort for Microsoft.

I had been asking Mattrick about the lack of “Halo” news at E3. He said that Microsoft’s Monday press conference was already loaded with content and so any announcements for that series weren’t needed to get gamers excited.

I pushed him on the lack of presence for the series and asked him if we should be worried about the no-show of Ensemble Studio’s real-time-strategy game “Halo Wars.” Not only did Mattrick say not to worry and that announcements would be coming, he also said that Microsoft is working with Bungie on a “Halo” game.

I asked for clarification, wondering if Mattrick meant Bungie’s project was “Halo Wars” or the long-announced Peter Jackson “Halo” project. Neither, Mattrick said. The Bungie game is something else.

And then, not surprisingly, the topic was changed.
