Halo 3 will be top until Gears of War 2 comes out then it will never reclaim the top spot again.

I have a few things to say to you, but I will try to keep it short:

1) If you want to keep my attention, don't call Halo my "baby" game.

2) Please.. please don't try to educate me on developers or great games of the past. Honestly, we are all gamers here. Many of us educated gamers and your matrix of past hits was accurate but also irrelevant.

3) When it comes to online multiplayer, matchmaking, features, rich stat tracking, and developer/fan interaction, Bungie is and will always be the best.

4) Honestly man, the fact that you called something as useful as the theatre a "gimmick" strips you of your credibility. Any decent gamer who evaluates it without their automatic anti-halo bias will wish that they had this feature in EVERY shooter game.

Let me clarify my position: I believe Halo is the best game in terms of gameplay, features, and functionality. I think that Bungie has pioneered multiplayer and feature systems that other developers will be scrambling to include in their games. EPIC said that they are creating halo-style rich stat tracking, then admitted that they are way behind Bungie when it comes to implementing it into real-time use. They are using an in-game screenshot maker, and they are using a matchmaking system. These things had to be pioneered by someone for the console market. Who was that? Bungie.

When a game or a dev team comes along that is as talented as Bungie, automatic comparisons and hatred will come in the form of anti-fan backlash. It's to be expected. I understand people who think like you do, I really do. Every console shooter that comes out will be compared to Halo. If you can't accept this fact, then you need to not enter the discussion.

I'm not even a huge fan of Halo, and I fully agree with Tufo.

But people have to remember something about videogames.... to each their freaking own. No one forces you to like a certain game.

I'm not meat lover and not a tofu lover but Tofu is dead accurate with his assessment.

Halo 3 is in itself a gaming phenomenon that drives llarge numbers of players back for more again and again. All should bow to Bungie...at least for now.

Halo is on top again. woohoo. Now your only fear is Soul Caliber 4 being too big of a hit. But Halo will always climb back up after that hype is over.

Hey. I said when people lose interest in it. And don't start with me on the fact I play it. I've followed it since SC2. Halo is still tops even though it's got some challengers. Gears 2 and the new stuff coming out. It's all based on what they do next to bring back to playing Halo (i.e. the new maps.)
