Halo 3 reclaims top spot on Xbox Live
Finally, Halo3 is back on top.
It was only a matter of time until people realized that a game like COD4 comes and goes... once a year actually...with different DEVELOPERS!
As each installment of COD comes and goes, Halo3 will always creep back to the top. 
The king is back. Discuss.

And Halo will eventually go to the bottom as well it will get old I promise! I was playing online yesterday on Halo and I think only about a little over 300,000 people were online. That's already a considerable drop from the first few months when the game came out and there were a million plus on everyday!

Halo2 was the most played game on Live until Halo3 came out, except for a period when Gears took over. Even I played Gears for those 9 months between teh GoW and Halo3 release dates! haha
Halo3 will continue to stay at the top (not number 1) but at the top, until Bungie's next project. Why? Because there literally isn't a development team in the gaming industry with half the talent they have at Bungie.
Bungie puts on presentations for OTHER developers about how to develop better online code, better rich stat harvesting, etc. You can view the presentations on B.net, it's pretty sweet.

I have to agree that when it comes to online gaming Bungie is king. Best stat tracking and matchmaking hands down. And I also agree Halo will stay at the top of the list but as far as being number 1 much longer I just don't see that happening.

When Gears 2 comes out Halo 3 will have to settle for 2nd, though.

I knew it would go back. Whenever I looked at Halo 3 total players it was around 350,000 and COD4 was alway a lot less.
