Confused at ending

As for the driving level to end the game, it's ment to be sentimental. As the original Halo ended with a driving level.

I don't think the final level "worked" the way triangles of the surface was falling apart, just didn't look right, they tried to design it too much, and make it look futuristic was nowhere near as good as the final level of the first.

you're speaking of another type of halo in the makes that microsoft said would be coming.. couldnt that just be halo wars?? which i will not be buying btw, those sorta games dont interest me atall but if theres a new shooter halo id defo buy it

but yeah apart from halo wars i think it shud b kept a trilogy.. i read somewhere on this forum bout a new halo game coming out apparently called "halo blue" or halo red or something like that LOL

BTW what a crap ending? The driving thing i mean.

At the end when they make it on the ship the arbiter hops in the front to drive them home and when they go through the worm hole only the front half of the ship makes it back home. The chief and cortana are left behind in space. I don't see whats wrong with the last level because I would much rather have to drive out of a exploding halo ring then walk on foot and jump on a ship.

How was the ending crap? The driving of the warthog is the most epic thing in the game... I purposely put on the breaks at the end when going across the jump so i could repeat it (I know its a loserish thing to do) The music at the end is so amazing too... so epic...

On the topic of the driving ending, I think it's epic, although not as epic as the first game...plus I kinda would have liked to see a mongoose escape rather than a warthog escape IMO.

On the topic of a new game being released, I think they should call it quits. Halo 1 and 2 were better because they were fresh, but now that a third game has come out, the expectations are too high and there's no room for error. In order to keep the controller in gamers' hands, halo 4 has got to be pretty damn amazing.

You can actually do it on a mongoose, Moose. When you get in the warthog and go up to the bend, look around the rocks to your left, and there should be a mongoose there.

And I'm pretty sure there will be another Halo, but it will be on a different premise, the MC probably wont be in it. (Well, he or some other Spartans may make a cameo, but thats about it.) There were rumours floating around that it would be an ODST, squad based TPS, but I would prefer the same concept with Spartan IIIs, as badass as ODSTs are, because ODSTs are about as weak as your grandmothers hip when they're up against Elites or Brutes. (no offense intended to the doctors who put in your grandmothers hip)

search Halo Blue...it was found in wal-marts data base, due for release 09. Could be a prank...but interesting nertherless.

Btw, with the driving thing...have u even played halo1 or 2. Halo 2 's ending sucked and people wanted another driving ending(which haloce had) so they made it. Imo, the driving was the best part in the game...so fun.

edit: CrAzY mentioned halo blue...so im not crazy :P

You DON'T know that, Steve. Bungie is working on THREE games right now. The rumors about Gearbox could mean anything at this point.

Fact. Halo is about rings. Rings have no ending, eventually they return to the beginning, thus it was appropriate for Halo3 to end like Halo1 since it is the end of the trilogy... not the SERIES.. the TRILOGY.
