Halo Wars is Great

It's a high quality game. It's very well developed. It's a lot of fun. It is rich with features. It is not over-simplified. It's a great new way to experience the Halo universe, which I love. The controls are very easy to handle, which is a great accomplishment. The game has been very underrated by the haters, who are eager to bash anything Halo, but it deserves a lot more credit. Right now its sales rank is 133 on Amazon.com out of all video games, which I think is pretty good. From what I heard, it's the best RTS for the xbox 360. It should have had more missions, but it's still worth buying. The xbox live multiplayer is great. I want at least 2 more sequels to Halo Wars. There is lots more they can do with the RTS format in the Halo universe. There are more stories they can tell. I like Halo Wars better than Starcraft. The Halo universe is more likeable and has better stories. The stories in Starcraft are not very good and their leading characters are not very likeable.

Iv'e been recieving newsletters for months now and Iv'e decided its time to start posting

I'm nearing the end of the halo: wars missions and have been finding it enjoyable if not restricted. Being a fan of Halo (not fanboy though.) And enjoying a good RTS I thought this would be a good purchase, espeically after it dropped below £15 pre-owned. Firstly that money alone is almost worth it for the CG cutscenes. I dont own a HD tv but still I found myself racing through the missions just to watch another movie.
The choices of units and upgrades is staggering and really helps you to make a strategic batlle plan, but ask any RTS fan what they want and the answer is always UNLIMITED UNITS! I wan' to fill the map with scorpions until they are falling off the edge.
I feel like once iv'e completed the missions I won't be skirmishing that much. I can see the advantages of 1v1. 2v2. etc for online play but would be nice for solo skirmishes to be able to fight against 3-4 enemy's yourself. I will be holding on to the game though as I can see these things being added through DLC eventually.
They really have done the best of not using a keyboard and mouse. The controls take a little getting used to but it is not long until you have the hang of it.
All in all not a bad little game and a welcome continuation of the halo universe. At least they had the balls to try something different.
