halo wars DLC

soon there will be 3 new game modes on halo wars these new game modes will also give you an extra 100 Gscore :
Reinforcement Mode in which your knowledge of battle units will be tested to the extreme. 30 Achievement points
Living Love Bug – says you’ll have a tough time marshalling unforseen waves of battle units forcing an ever-changing line of strategy. The same thing is happening to your opponents too, look on the bright side. An additional 20 Achievement points
Tug of War your overal strength on the battlefield dictates the winner. It’s a race to build up your resources while decimating those of your rivals. If you can stay ahead throughout the whole game you’ll earn 20

what do you all think ?

Might be a free update going by the Gamerscore (which doesnt even add up to 100) but you might get multiple score per game type.

Sounds interesting though.

I heard that if DLC is free you don't get achievements so I guess this wont be free.

A bunch of old employees made a company which is providing the DLC for Halo Wars.

Two game studios were created out of the ashes of Ensemble; Robot entertainment and Bonfire studios. Apparently a third was announced, as well, but I can't remember what it is. Robot entertainment was employed by M$ to handle the post-production of Halo Wars, including all updates and DLC. They're expected to be handling it for a while to come.

You heard wrong. The rule is actually that achievements can only be added through DLC. It doesn't matter if it's free or not. Many developers just go to the extra effort of adding achievements to dlc that otherwise wouldn't have it if there is a financial incentive, though.

You heard wrong. The rule is actually that achievements can only be added through DLC. It doesn't matter if it's free or not. Many developers just go to the extra effort of adding achievements to dlc that otherwise wouldn't have it if there is a financial incentive, though.

Well you may be right, but I still believe what I heard more as it always seems to be the case, I've never seen free DLC with achievements.
