Thats true, but you still shouldnt do it. The only modding i approve is modding to make your 360 system look cooler, like some people here did.

are we talking xbox 1? havent hurd about it for the 360 but for xbox 1 you have to get a bigger hard drive then mod chip it and I think you can do it

i would not trust anyone to mod my 360. I wouldnt want to void my warranty this early into the game.

i'm a big fan of modding, i modded xbox, i know this dude in chinatown that does all the modding
the greatest system ever was the dreamcast and xbox1 which allowed me to download full versions of english and japanese games from the net for free, than just burn them ad a bootdisk and whola,
how can you not like free shit
i still have piles of xbox and dc games lying in the basement i got exactly 684 games alltogether, best thing was selling them games to people and making a nice profit

Actually modifing a console isn't illegal, However It does void the warranty.

Also you are allowed to make backups if you own the original, this isn't illegal either but is contrary to th EULA and again voids warranties etc. If they were to take you to court for it it would be a civil case and as you own the original its perfectly acceptable to keep backups of your media in case they get damaged.

Modifying equipment to reach its full potential is something which generally sparks development for newer products, consider this... would the XB360 have had media streaming functionality if this wasn't a feature of the original modified Xbox?

You have a lot to thank us hackers for, don't complain about our work, if we didn't do the things we did you'd probably never see the type of functionality you have in todays equipment.
