Good question: Every one that’s not an Xbox owner wants Halo to fail, so it is important for it to not just be good but....great{I never really cared for the first two, give me Half-Life}. This game can not just be ok.

But Mass Effect will be the next big thing, if I was a betting man I would bet the farm on it. It is important for it to spread to a larger audience, we wont have a Final Fantasy no matter how many Japanese rpg's we get, even if it's a game developed by square, if it doesn't have the words FINAL and FANTASY in that order, together, Sony has a trump card. I have friends that are willing to by a 500 dollar game system just to play it{which in all right looks ridiculously sweet}.

Mass Effect will take a little time and love to catch on, but with advertising....And please God, a good battle system it will be a huge game of vast significance spanning 3 games, downloadable content, and novels in between.
I can not wait.
What other important exclusives are there?....
Banjo should be good too, how did Viva piñata sell?
Are platformers with out Mario in it still big now a days? If anyone can do it Rare can.

I know quite a few people who are waiting until halo 3 comes out to buy their 360, halo is one of microsoft's best weapons against the other consoles. Mass effect will be great, so will GTA IV, so will assasin's creed, so will fable 2 but Halo 3 will definitely be the game of the year, i think people have forgotten how great halo 2 was.

This a large quote from wikipedia backing my claim
"The first official release of Halo 2 was in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United States on November 9, 2004. Anticipation for the game was high; three weeks before this release, a record 1.5 million copies had already been pre-ordered. Massive lines formed at midnight releases of the game; the event garnered significant media attention. This was followed by releases on November 10, 2004 in France and other European countries, and November 11 in the UK. The game sold 2.4 million copies and earned up to US$125 million in its first 24 hours on store shelves, thus out-grossing the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest as the highest grossing release in entertainment history. As of November 9, 2005, exactly a year after its release, Halo 2 had sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. Official Xbox Magazine reported that the Halo 2 launch was the biggest event in entertainment history, grossing $125 million on the launch date alone. The game sold 260,000 units in the United Kingdom in its first week, making it the third fastest-selling title of all time in the UK. On June 20, 2006, Xbox.com reported that more than a half-billion games of Halo 2 have been played on Xbox Live since its debut; it also reported that 9.2 million units of Halo 2 have been sold worldwide. From the day of its initial release and up until mid-November, 2006, Halo 2 was the most popular video game on Xbox Live, even after the release of the Xbox 360; its position was only recently surpassed by the 360-exclusive Gears of War. Halo and Halo 2 are still some of the most played games for the Xbox console."

What do we mean when we say 'most important' game? The level of demand, the most desired perhaps?
It appears we're focusing on Halo 3 and Assassins Creed here. It is hard to compare these two in terms of game content, because their storylines are not parallel by any means.
One thing's for sure, these are both going to be excellent games. The one factor is that it depends on the specific gamer's taste. Assassin's Creed will be much more openly-contented. By this, I mean that you're not restricted to a mission/level window. However, for those who have been loyal to the Halo series, Halo 3 may be a better pick, because of course, along with the campaign there will also be a presumably superb multiplayer mode.

Assassain's Creed will be much better, but Halo 3 will be the game for Xbox 360, then GTA.

You guys are so dumb it amazes me.

When I go to a public bathroom I always have a feeling those sensors in the stall (which make the toilet flush automatically) are actually cameras watching my penis.

Halo 3 won't have as much success as Halo 2. It's supposed to be good but people are probably going to be let down.

Mass Effect FTW

The Big difference in time between Halo 2 and 3 is that now live is more prominent.
Which means while most people, loved Halo {1-2} because of its multi-player, it won't have as big of an effect with three, because people are use to it; now Hopefully Bungie can make a great single player experience, I haven't seen evidence that it can happen, but again hopefully they can pull it off.

Also Fable will be Huge, the only thing the competition has that we don't is FF13, we have shooters, sports, racing, the only thing they have is FF13, we need to rival that, nothing else.

So again Mass Effect and Fable, and a cool dragon game would be great too *Cough 'Panzer Dragoon' Cough*.

i thought assassins creed was gonna be a ps3 exclusive at first, and i was very pleased to hear i was wrong. Ill go with assassins creed in being a great game, but like what has been said, halo is notorious on xbox, and it has many followers
