My beef with madden 08.. still not complete

I love the game but the game still feels half assed. They finally got the 60 fps up, create a player is better.. besides all of the features I feel the game isnt finished or they dont care to code more to it. You play nfl 2k8.. u hold the sprint button and press jump.. what happens? the wr jumps really high to catch the ball.

In madden 08 I noticed some strange things. Like, the WR's sometimes just run and never lift up their arms. I threw a couple of passes and nailed them right in the face.

Another thing, havent u guys noticed the game has mad turnovers? I would be running and my guy would just fumble. I kinda wish the turnovers wasnt so often. I do like if u throw a dumb pass a defender can easily int it.. cuz in rl they dont have bricks as hands. Same with cb's I noticed.. they sometimes never lift their hands to catch the ball and get smacked in the head lol.

Does anyone wish madden had a jump catching button?

Yeah, there are a ton of fumbles. I have noticed that if you hold the RB to protect the ball EVERY TIME you are about to get hit they happen less. You still fumble, but not nearly as much as if you didn't. Only juke, truck, or stiff arm in the open field. Last night I had a full game with no fumbles. My only turnover was when my receiver didn't put his hands up and got hit in the head with a ball and the safety grabbed it (Lame!). The computer opponent coughed it up 7 times though.

I think it's a solid release and is really fast and responsive. I think it will be better once I get a better feel for the game and step it up to All-Madden difficulty.

I have to say that I don't like that spectacular catch addition. It takes the throw into triple coverage and jump up to make a catch glitch even more prominant a weapon for human opponents. I played a guy that just threw bombs to a spectacular catch receiver and no matter how many defenders i directed in the area I knew he'd throw, I could apparently do nothing because I didn't have a hard hitting safety as a weapon. I like the idea of exploiting weaknesses, but I'd say that they went more than a little too far.

eh i like the fumbles...you need to be more careful.....first few games i had fumbles....last few i've had none at all

ya the fumbles go down a lot once you get use to the game its pretty true to life you let your quarter back get lit up by a hard hitter he's gonna cough up the ball.

Its pretty cool, I just walked the bills with the chargers 103-7. I got 12 trophies and 12 achiements for 210 points.

Ya their are more turnovers in this years madden. They made the game more realistic. It does get annoying sometimes, but you can't throw the ball into double coverage or throw it if the guy isn't open.

madden is never complete. its made by EA, what do you expect? The battlefield games for PC have yet to be fixed since day 1, they just make it worse. As for madden, they know all they have to do is update the textures and it will sell. Every year people buy the same game. I got it this year cuz I was bored, but everytime I went online the EA servers were down so I could not play. People should just start writing EA chackes for $60 every year and not bother getting a new madden.
