Xbox 360 Prices!

Hey when i saw the price of the xbox 360 i was like woah!
even the games are like £45-£50 each. Da wireless controllers are like £30 sumthin each. Everything is expensive. I would go for the cheaper one, but the original has alot more on it.

was you shocked by the prices, or were you expecting it?

I know i wasnt expecting it!

I kinda expected it. The companies need to make money. Games prices aren't that crazy either. Just think back when N64 came out. What was it like $70 for some games.

$70?That explains why I only had...2 games for 64 the entire span of its lifetime.

on every next gen console launch that i can clearly remember... ok ps2 and xbox then :P but over in the uk when they first came out i couldnt find any games cheaper than £49.99 and i dont expect it to be any different this time around. hence why i will only buy 1 or 2 in the shop on launch and then the rest on play :P

really? Isn't 50 pounds like 80+ USD? That is pretty crazy....Atleast first party games are a bit cheaper (kameo baby!)

yar... about that i think.. 75 USD or something... a hell of a lot! hopefully wont last 2 long though but i'll still pay it for a couple just so i can say to my mates that ive got an xbox 360 with some awesome games :P

Where did you hear that first party games are going to be cheaper? If you know the site let me know. I got an email from 1up.com a while ago that mentioned it but when I went to the site I couldn't find it anywhere.

All these prices don't surprise me with the console beign the first nex gen one to hit the market. I don't agree withthe high prices but I expect it to be that way for a while.

Yeah, I remember seeing it on a big site before like 1up.com. I should not have acted so confident of the price. After posting my message though, this news came up at ign 360:
