Mass Effect
COD4
Gears of War
Assassins Creed
Halo 3
Fifa 08 (haven't played)
Though depending on what games you like more COD4 could be swapped with Mass Effect because it has amazing online.

If you have LIVE then the only choice for first game is Call of Duty 4.

It really matters
Halo and Gears good live not best campaign
Assassins and COD4 have better campaigns but COD4 has sweet live as well. and also comes down to which kind of shooter. I dont think this is good question to ask but pick for yourself because all the games you chose are very good

gears of war , call of duty 2 and call of duty 4, rainbow six vegas, halo 3 graw and graw 2, bioshock , nfs most wanted, dirt etc etc
