What game should I buy?
I am thinking about buying a new game this weekend. Money is not a problem. The games that I was thinking about were; The orange box, assasins creed and mass effect. I have never played any games like mass effect or assasins creed. So can I have some opinions on which of the three I should buy, feel free to recommend any other games as well.

I was AC's number one fan, I bought it, played it for 2 days and traded it in for half the price I paid for it. That's how bad it got.
It was fun as hell at first. Amazing, then it got SO boring. 
Mass Effect is outstanding.

I had Assasins Creed at the bottom of the list anyway, I've heard Mass Effect is good, but maybe it without having live it may put me off.

I dont think Mass Effect has multi player so don't need live to enjoy the game.. Why don't you get live? With online play you will extend the life of your games!

LOL! way to damn late for me to be reading! Yeah mass effect is more of an RPG game.. I dont know if your into those kind of games. if your more into online multiplayer get Orange Box

i'd get orange box... you get 3 half life games.... portal... and TF2 which behind COD4 is probably teh best multiplayer game out there, since i bought The Orange box, i haven't touched Halo3

Thanks for the advice guys, after looking at comments and reviews I have chose the orange box, sounds really good and should last till christmas at the least. I might be able to pick it up for £30 pre-owned, if not around £38 new, so hopefully they have pre-owned in-store
