Not sure if it is the same on the Xbox 360, But when I first put Halo 2 into my original Xbox it ran with the screen split vertically. After a little while I worked out that to switch it over you had to go into the Xbox settings and change it so that the Xbox 360 is said to be hooked up to a 4:3 television (as opposed to a widescreen). Im pretty sure that Halo2 was designed to run in horizontal split screen on 4:3 televisions, and Vertical split screen on widescreens. So go looking in the xbox settings.Thats my advice, maybe someone who actually owns a 360 can shed more light on it
