late-gen xbox/360 fps's

COD2, GRAW, Far Cry plus there are tons more coming out this year.

COD2: i got the first one and a couple of medal of honors, they were great but im all world-war-2'd out.

GRAW: i had Raven sheild too, im all tom clancy'd out. I like your more arcade shooter anyhow, your half-lifes, your halos, your red factions.

Far Cry: this one im interested in, but... people have been talking about how the controls are shoddy, so im steering clear of this one. otherwise itd be right up my alley.

I think i might just put my 360 bacl in its box for a while until some DECENT games come on the scene. It's not an fps, but im really holding out for that dead rising game, go high hopes for that one.

man fps's are stale at the moment, and on the 360 their stale and scarse, i want something decent, and a non-science-fiction themed one wouldnt be too much to ask.

In the meantime im going to thrash Generals/zero hour that i traded that peice of excrement aka PDZ in for.

I would go with far Cry after all it was game of the year in 2004.

Another option is Battlefield 2: Modern Combat if u want a better online game

dont have broad band so online doesnt concern me. i want a good solid arcade shooter.

A good solid arcade shooter is COD2. Put simply, its slick, looks good, fast paced, loud, full of action, guns are satisfying. Everything you'd want from an ardade shooter. So its scripted in places, and tank battles were a bit poor(ish), but its a blast from start to finish.

FarCry will last a while single player, but it doesn't feel next gen. COD2 feels like it belongs on the 360.

I have heard that Battlefield 2's single player is good fun, with some nifty AI and fast, arcade style play. You might want to rent each game out to see how they feel, then buy which you prefer.

PDZ and COD2 are both class games (review links are in my sig if you want more in-depth opinions on them).

A lot of people hate PDZ, but then again a lot of people love it. You should try it for yourself and make your own mind up. It's a love/hate game.

Prey will be awesome. Get that if your looking for a solid FPS.
