Valve Wants To Sell Mods On 360, Pay Creators

It would be a great story! One that, knowing the 360's marketplace and Valve's propensity for daydreaming will probably never happen, but hey, you can never say never.

most people wont buy it and it will be frustrating for the people that dont
it could potentially ruin the game for them

It really depends if the prices are fair and the mods are good. I won't buy any mods regardless. Just makes the game look trashy.

Some mods are worth paying for like the mod someone did for L4D1, it was based on Dawn of the Dead. I'd pay for stuff of that quality.

Thats one thing i miss about PC gaming, you can DL skins,sound mods,total conversions ect for free.
I really dont think it would work out to good for xbox though,you know marketplace would charge an arm and leg for a whole campaign. Maybe if they made it so you only had to pay at the most 200msp,It would somewhat be worth it.
If i only had a PC well enough to run left 4 dead i would get rid of my xbox live account.

If they are good mods I don't see a problem.
It would be cool if they release them in "Mod Packs" instead of individually.

This is the whole reason that UT3 failed so miserably on the Xbox. If devs want to shoulder the bandwidth costs, why not let them????? UT3 was amazing on the PS3 because of all the mods, mutators, etc..... Same with LBP. I don't see why MS has such a hard time understanding this. One more nail in MS's coffin, as far as I'm concerned.

MS just love money, were paying £40 per year for live so we should get shit like this for free.
