From what I've played, doesn't have the same impression to me as Left 4 Dead. It'll still be a day one as I had a lot of fun with friends in the first.
Killing zombies is my calling.

i thought it was pretty sweet, the graphics look a tiny but better but nothing over the top and i think the special infected as pertty sweet. it makes you use alot more strategy if your playing on expert but overall it was fun and i can see myself playing it for a while

except that it looks better, theres more a variety in the zombies (both special and common infected) way more guns, different types of challenges as far as alerting the horde is concerned. The physics has obviously been improved vastly from the first, and the way the zombies died and get blown apart by guns, dismembered by melee weaps or burned by fire all looks great.
Not to mention that when the retail version releases there will be a lot more game modes.

I liked it
It was way to much in order to be DLC, but I see where you guys are coming from. But there is new guns, maps, zombies, items, modes, graphics, and reactions. Just seems like this would be a bit much for a simple download :P
I'm going to be buying it

Oh yeah it's L4D 1.5 when L4D 1 had 4 campaigns, 3 Special infected, 2 modes, and 6 weapons.
When L4D2 has 5 campaigns, 6 special infected, 4 modes, and 20+ weapons... PLUS major upgrades to the source engine within the graphics and physics.
Yeah, really sounds like L4D 1.5...

Sounds like someone is in denial and pissed because they just realized that will be paying $60 for L4D 1.5!!
L4D 1 was lacking content, L4D 2 has more than the first one...combine 1 and 2 and you have a complete game that is actually worth $60.00 and wont be boring in a month.

Say it was DLC, you really think all that content is worth less than $60/£40?

lol exactly.. im surprised by all the haters, i think they're just pissed because the gameplay's the same, but of course the gameplays gonna be the same.. if they completely changed the whole feel of the game people are gonna hate it, because it wouldn't be LEFT 4 DEAD.
and theres gonna be more in the full version than the demo, a hell of alot more then any DLC would have.. the graphics are slightly better, especially the fire and explosions, details on the weapons ect.. it uses the ai director 1.2 or something like that
when you replay a level, it'll change the ACTUAL parts of the level.. you can even see that in the demo on the 1st level.. sometimes u can jump over that fence over the stairs, sometimes thats not there, so when you replay a level you'll be able to go to a different area in that level that you couldn't previously go into before.
The time of day and the weather changes, you can play a level in the day time and then play that same level and it'll be nighttime, or it might be raining, or there be fog..
you have loads of BETTER weapons, including an AK47 and assault shotgun, magnum pistol and lots more.. melee weapons which add's close combat action, and even includes CHAINSAWS for fucks sake, whats not to love about that?
new infected such as the spitter.. which add's alot more tactical gameplay into left 4 dead. You can even bring team mates back to life after they've died with the chest pad things
you get to see hilarious things such as zombies dressed up as clowns, and how awesome do the zombies look in the biohazard suit things? and those zombies will probably have a tactical advantage like the police zombies in the demo
theres more campaigns then the 1st L4D and TWO new game modes. The collision detection is alot more accurate when you hit the zombies, like shooting them in the stomach and seeing they're intestines fall out, they've improved the sound effects a hell of alot.. and in general this L4D is going to have ALOT more replay value then the first one
..seems worth the 40 quid/60 dollers to me each to they're own i suppose but this is no way like a "left 4 dead 1.5" .. that is the most retarded thing iv ever heard, thats like saying modern warfare 2 is like "modern warfare 1.5"
because call of duty all have the same kinda mechanics, they just add new stuff into the games. Thats how it is with most sequels, and this game is gonna be one of the best sequels yet
