Ive never bothered with any turnbased RPG before as I never thought they would be for me but so far I am really enjoying it, its beautiful, great story and its great to chill out with and just enjoy at a slower pace when I dont want a hectic action game getting me all stressed. Ive never played any Final Fantasy game but this is cool and the combat/items system isnt complex at all. A great entre to the genre I would say!

The negative feedback on this game is just difference of opinion, some people don't like RPG's, or turnbased games. Some do.

It's really a game you have to rent to make sure you like first.

No, the negative feedback is due to basic flaws of design, also i would say 'any game needs to be rented' otherwise, how will you know you'll like it.

Any RPG fan will (of course) have criticism for this title, I have to say I was disappointed in the lack of customizable material, you can't even change your' armour.

I will have to disagree. To ME this game was a blast, it's one of the best JRPG's for the 360 at the moment. I'm not too sure that it's flaws of design, but more of a traditional type game. I think they did try to follow the FFVII format a bit much. Would have been refreshing to have new aspects of it. I'm with you Joneselius, Armour change would have been a great change to it though, I agree.

Again, it's just a difference of opinion.

Rent it.

Theres a few things that are really keeping me from finsihing the game and I'm almost done with disc two and I'm bored to death. Firstly, my tv makes it extremely difficult to rea things because it's a crappy old small tv(not the games fault but this shit pisses me off), I don't like random battles and turn based battles, the game offers nothing new or innovative in the least, theres a few very boring long parts in the game which almost made me quit altogether like the part where Kaim's daughter dies and you have collect the flowers and all that gay shit, and the part where you keep falling in the holes of the cave.

Why have I seen flower and stick collecting as being a horrible flaw?...It took all of 2 minutes. Following a pretty good moment in the game. Especially after that moment, it kind of slowed the pace down before the funeral...

As for the random battles, they are far less then most of the rpgs I have played...I do agree about changing armor, I always like finding armor...Though {being a Mass Effect guy} I think the armor change in Mass Effect was pointless and just thrown in to say its there. It was also a complaint I had with Jade Empire.

This game has grown on me lately, I'm almost on disc 4 and I have to say that disc 3 is the best disc so far, all the little annoyances like the random battles and the outdated combat system are not a big deal anymore because it's just gotten so much better.
