free roam?

hey, im wondering if i should pick this game, but im not sure

so heres my question

is this game like oblivion.. in the sense that you can free roam, run around anywhere you want and do whatever missions or tasks/adventures in the game in any order you want?

or does it have a set path where you can run around, but if you want to get further in the game, you have to go down that one path..
(such as enchanted arms, for those of you who've played it)

yea same here, thats why i hated oblivion

spiderman 3 had freeroam and that was cool.. just cuz of the web swinging

i loved oblivion but i way prefer games like ff10 and ff7, but i love lost oddessy.

the difference you ask?

FF7 is the best because for the first 5 hours or so, you have to follow the one direction no options to not.

then you go into a huge world, while still following the path then disc 2 ish you still follow the story but with lots of options to go other places do other side missions / stories.

10, was very very linear for the main part of the game then you have to start traveling back n forward, n find things.

lost oddessy im on disc 4 now and not once has it given me a decent depth side quest story mission, and no free roam at all, except in the ships but thats only like a minute. but i still love the game

oblivion though, Was totally opposite, linear for like 5 mins, then 100% total freedom, way to much in my opinion, and i think it gave you to much freedom to soon

Is Lost Odyssey anything like Final Fantasy?

Its a lot like Final Fantasy, but diffrent in many respects.

You do not have summoning [ I think ]

But you gain accsess to "Spirit Magic"

You also have 4 Characters by the end of the game, who get back up by themselves after 2 or 3 turns.

A lot less Magic Spells, but still powerful.

And items that you can learn skills off.
