i want this game so bad but curious bout story line!!!

it appear to me this is like final fantasy 12,with medevil storyline to it,by the way the box cover looks... im most likely wrong when i heard its 4 discs,I bout had heartattack.,Im gonna rent this probly since im very picky bout rpgs storylines etc,nother biggy to me is the battle system in rpgs,if its complex I usually dont like it...Blue Dragon demo has taught me that lesson thank god i tried demo to that... people have said that demo tutorial battle system is not in depth enough u need to try the real game first...

anyways the game is 4 discs,so that has to be some gorgeous cutscenes i imagine folks,this is on my want to get list along with devil may cry 4,the demo has awesome visuals also devil may cry 4..

The story isn't set in a medieval setting. Its a weird alternate post apocalyptic alternate timeline future where technology is fused with magic after a magic revolution.

ALso the battle system is simple. Ive never played a TBRPG before in my life and picked it up easy.

Great game and I am loving it so far....still on disc 1 though.

Well, the battle system is fresh, however storyline...... welllll, You'll have seen it a thousand times i'm afraid. An immortal called Kaim is looking for his memories (having lost them somewhere, silly man) and it's your' job to go find them. However danger awaits in a flat-top criminal style character (not going to spoil), the story drags off then to other immortals also (would you believe they also have lost their memory), the story does have very good moments, take the humour for example, very witty. However the battle system (for those who play shadow hearts; Gasp, a ps2 game!) Will be unoriginal still...... I think though after playing Blue dragon You'll LOVE this game! Blue dragon was A DISASTER!

Indeed it did, however to refuse a game from a review, that's like selecting your' house from a catalogue, only the opinions will sway you, yet you know you'll end up with what you saw. Usually not to your' standard, but hey what is?

In total the game is good, better in fact than most, just flawed. But other than gods ultimate creation, what isn't?

All JRPGs {not entitled Final Fantasy} usually get bad/mixed reviews. This game got just that. For a side not many of the reviews were done from an unfinished build of the game with longer loading times.

Adding to what zefff & joneselius said, this game takes place a few years after the discovery of magic.

As for the battle engine...My wife has picked up on it, and she has never played an RPG before.

I thought overall the story was good with a few awesome parts and a few real corny parts.
