how to get roster updates without gold?

I tried getting the new roster updates lastnight but i realized that you had to click join match to get them. well i loded up the game just incase i could get them by justing being loged into silver. well nothing happened and a fooled around with all the xbox live options trying to get the update. So is the only way for getting the roster update to have gold? If so that pisses me off. so is there any way i can get it with out gold?

Did you press "Y" before joining the game? It doesnt automatically update, you have to prompt it to.
You should be able to get the updates with the silver package.

if u click quick match it automatically exits u out so i cant press y

Try entering a game lobby and setting up a game other than quick match then press Y and see if it does it. You shouldnt be restricted from updating your roster just because you have Silver and not Gold

mk ill try again today. ill be torked if it doesnt work just because i do belive its unfair that i cant get a roster update because i dont have gold

That sucks and doesnt seem right at all. Let me look and see if I have any free Live codes laying around from any of the games that I bought, if I do I will send it to you so you can update (I think they give you Gold access - never used one before).

Cant promise anything because I'm not 100% sure I have one, but I will look.

well i talked to ea and they saied talk to MS so i talked to them but they didn't help much i did what they said already LOL so i sent a message back to ea ill prob get nothing out of it LOL.
