Either it would be NFL xx or they would keep the name. I would think to honor John, they would keep it. But who knows? EA are dicks.

wow...thats like saying when Bill Gates dies Microsoft will die with him...they are the biggest name in the industry it would take a lot more than that to take EA down. they could drop there sports franchise's all together and still keep turning a nice bottom line

I have read that as of Madden 09, EA are gently removing JM from the game. New commentary team & JM's removal of image from box as of this year.

I feel they will go to a more generic title once JM retires, or maybe even Brett Favre NFL 2010. Hehehe
