Madden 09 causing disc read errors

I was at Gamestop yesterday talking to some friends and they told me that they have had several copies of Madden 09 on the 360 being returned because they were getting "Disc read error" when they tried to play the game. It seems it only happens with Madden 09 so this is just a heads up for anyone wanting to know if their console is screwed up or if its just the game.

I haven't had this issue yet, but it had been freezing and messing up a lot during the game.

I have been constatly getting the "disc read" error on both the Madden 09 and Head Coach 09 discs. I have exchanged them for brand new ones and after a week of no issues, I'm constatly getting the error again. It always happens to me during the first few minutes into a game. I can't even get through game 1 of my franchise. Very frustrating.

I have since sent my discs off to EA for replacement and am waiting for the new discs to arrive. If this happens again, I'm goinng to have my dvd drive replaced on my xbox. Could heating issues possibly cause the read disc errors?

If it is only happening with EA games then its not your console. Maybe the newer DVD drives have a stronger laser?

My copy of Madden 09 freezes allot. None of my other games, just Madden.
