ally achievement question

does anybody know that precise number of side missions one has to do to get the ally achievement at the end of the end of the game. i just finished with wrex and tali on hardcore, i did every single available side mission before completing but on my next play through (on insane) i wanted to avoid doing all of them cause i am at 44 hours already on the 2 play throughs and i got the ally achievement on virimre. thnks for the help.

On my 3rd time through i just did the main missions & it didnt give me any allies achievement's. So you need to do at least 85% of all the missions in order to get it! What number 85% is i dont know! Sorry.
But i got one ally achievement before i finished the game on my 2nd play through! & the other just as i beat the end boss (the name escapes me now!)

I fon't have it and i've beat it twice. And I also did many side missions. so idk

The big secret to getting the 'allY' achievments is to use mostly the same people. I have all the ally achievements except Asari and Sentinal. I have tried to get Asari twice, but I guess I need to get Dr Tasoni BEFORE I do all the first Citidel quests.

Right, you have to have all party members accounted for before even thinking about doing a single side quest. Also, the Ally Achievements are tied to the Completionist Achievement, so doing the side missions is a must. Here's something that may help:

Party Member Achievement Guide

This is a brief walkthrough on how to get these achievements. Please do not add extraneous details to this, as players can use other features to find what they need. However, the two primary pages that are of great use in recieving these achievements are: Assignments and Missions.

* Remember to keep the character that you want to recieve the achievement for in your party at all times after acquiring them.

* Remember, while on ship, to speak to Garrus Vakarian, Urdnot Wrex, and Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, as all of these give an assignment that can be completed.

* These achievements are more difficult the longer it takes for you to recieve the character, thus the difficulty in increasing order is: Ashley Williams/Kaiden Alenko→Garrus Vakarian→Urdnot Wrex→Tali'Zorah nar Rayya→Liara T'Soni

1. Complete Eden Prime
2. Continue on with Missions, avoiding all Assignments
1. Talk to the Council
2. Find Harkin at Chora's Den
3. Find Garrus at Med Clinic
4. Speak to Wrex at C-Sec
5. Go back to Chora's Den and take care of Fist (don't pick up the data slate while there, go back and get it after getting Liara)
6. Go to the alleyway and rescue Tali'Zorah nar Rayya
7. Go back to Council and recieve your status as a Spectre
3. Leave the Citadel
4. Go to the Artemis Tau Cluster, Knossos System, Planet Therum and find Liara T'Soni
5. From here, systematically go to each and every system and do all of the Assignments that can be found on each planet/ship (Normally 1 per system). Collections (such as UNC: Valuable Minerals) are not necessary.
6. Complete Feros and Virmire, make sure not to kill Urdnot Wrex while on Virmire.
7. Return to the Citadel and complete all Assignments that can be found there.
8. Move on to Noveria, complete the Assignments that can be found there (all of them can be completed before leaving in the Mako).
9. Complete Noveria.

If all of these are completed, you should recieve this achievement (for any of the characters) before moving on to Ilos; however, if you do not recieve it, but you completed most of the Assignments, there is a high likelihood that you will recieve this achievement at any time up to the endgame conversation.

you must not have done enough of the side missions, you have to get something like 80% of them done with the same people, i finally got 1000 for me but neural shock and ai hack took the longest, sine they had to be used on enemies not the citidal transport stands, the ally ones weren't all that hard if you just stuck with the same ones and did all the available side missions.

i just got them on my 2nd playthrough with garrus and wrex. you pretty much do all of the side missions you can... i was keeping track as i was going, and it added up to somewhere in the low 40s. i got garrus' right before feros and wrex's at virmire.
