i just found out that if you dont talk to Captain Anderson at the start of the gane and ask about the Protheans you cant get the achievment but arent they mentioned throughtout the whole game why cant you get it later on i think i have the rest and i sont want to start the game again ive sone the start of the game about 6 times

You can't get it later in the game. It's a one-shot dialog option. Seriously, if you've just started a new game, re-start it again. It sets you back about what, 10 minutes at the most?
