Classes
Okay, I'm new to Mass effect, and I was wondering if anybody could direct me to a thread about the character classes and their abilities/disabilities, advantages/disadvantages. If there isn't currently one, than could somebody tell me in this thread? Thanks!

I started this last week, and chose Vanguard class, thinking it would be similar to the Bioshock set up of weapons and plasmids. It isn't. But I'm meddling through, and maybe next playthrough I'll be a soldier.

I'm finding it frustrating, because I want XP to spend to unlock my assault rifle skills, but I don't appear to be getting any. Perhaps my set up is wrong, or do you have to use it to get good at it?! Hmmm, mass effect wiki here I come!
