Hi man. What do you plan on doing after your military career?

Myself, I was thinking about then getting into politics and government.

Being an officer has it's benefits though. That is, if you want a leadership position, which I do. It's tough training, but well worth it. As an enlisted man the highest rank you can get is Sergeant Major of the Army I think.

ROTC is "Reserve Officer Training Course". It's a college type thing and you have to complete the course, after which you receive the credentials and you can become an officer.

It's not the only thing though, there are other courses.

And then you grauduate and within the Armed Forces you start as a 2nd Lietenant I think.

To become a general is tough, it takes decades.

Probably.
But I am already in JROTC so I might join up with ROTC and then finish that course to become a commissioned officer

Are you going commissioned or enlisted man? Or do they have those in the British Armed Forces?
