If this game is 0.0000001% as good as Mercenaries was for the PS2 then it will be fucking awesome. The destruction, bombs, and vehicles for me were sublime.

I am also puzzled as to why we sometimes we get a thread before a game saying will this be good, are you looking forward to it, will it be a dissapointment etc.
Forgive me for being cynical here, but we wouldn't know would we, until it is released?

and if your worried about one playthrough and thats it, just rent the game

Im just hoping its not to much like the first one. Dont get me wrong the first one was fun,but the replay value for me wasnt there. And im just wondering what opinions others have.

@Kickass Gimp, instead of worring to much, why don't you go to the video library thread I posted and watch the video interview I posted, they will tell you the new features or do some research, the game is hardly the same as Mercenaries 1, ok, now lets cut this bs out.

By the way,i have done some research on this game, but i dont have all the time in the world to do so cause of work. Besides,i wanted to see what other people think out there,i mean this is a forum after all.Anyway if this thread bothers you,you dont have to come in here.

lol. You love BF:BC don't you? That game is really not that great. I like it but I mean MP is the only reason it's good. The first Mercenaries didn't even have MP and I played it for about a year. This game looks way better than the first one and plus it's next gen. Mercenaries 2 will own BF.

Well, at least watch some videos I posted; Able to pimp your PMC(its a place where you and your hired Mercenaries hang out), 2 player co-op(and yes friendly can be on, so I can teach you a thing or two), Havok 4.5 destruction physics, better graphics(trees light on fire and pass it on to another tree), much bigger list of ordering vehicles, custom vehicles(like tricked out bike with tank torrent, you can't trick it out yourself though), watercrafts, grapling hook, huge map, you work for yourself(not for Nato anymore), did I mention Tactical Nuke? Hi-jacking mini game, smarter AI, tons of weapons, side missions, and more. If you think thats not 2 enough for you or worth your money, then I don't know about you.

Also, I wasn't trying to be offensive, I'm just saying, watch some videos, watch the big chunky developer videos, and I also kind of jumped on you because you know we got everyone posting here about saying how great the game is and you are still doubting it, not that you shouldn't but, if their advise is not working then take the smart way and take mine. I know you werent trying to be offensive,I watched some more videos this morning and its looking alot better then what i had expected. There is a wide variety of vehicles and the grapling hook is badass. Not to mention the hijacking,Looking alot better. Actually looking forward to it more now.

Yes, i do love bfbc,i like it alot.The only reason i play it is for the mp, the single player is just horrible imo. As for the mp for mercenaires lets just wait till its released. Hopefully the mp wont be as stale as Ao2. The coop was horrible for that game.
But seeing i have the day off,im gonna watch some more trailers, I can tell you this much,the sp for mercenaries will be great. That i will agree with you there it will own bfbc,The game doesnt even need to be released for me to tell you that. But as far as mp,like i said,i guess we will have to wait and see.
