WOW, New Gaming Style?
Mirror's Edge- Has it spawned a new gaming style or era? I believe so, considering that so many new companies are trying to mock up old ones, or gain control over a certain area of gaming. Example, now that Skate and Skate 2 are out they have broken THPS reign on skating games. I'm feeling confident that SOME company is going to try to follow this new first-person runner style. But we won't know until someone try's, no clue who the company would be until they try either. Or I and others could be wrong and EA and Dice will keep it for their own. Anyone think I'm right?

I hope not, it was poorly executed. Could have been done much, much better. For a game about RUNNING there sure was a lot of climbing around and puzzles. If the whole game was like the first level, it'd be awesome, but you spend most of your time inside buildings looking for places to escape to. They based the gameplay around the plot which should NEVER be done for a game like this.. Plot is based around gameplay, not the other way round.

I agree it was a bit of a chore. But even if some people don't like it doesn't mean a company won't try to remake this genre of gaming. I thought it was fun all except for the fighting/shooting it was a bit boring.
