You're right about Bonds not being in the MLB. So Sheff gets the fastest bat award by default then.

Not to be a dick, it doesn't matter who YOU think has a faster bat. There have been stats and studies done on this numerous times and the two guys that are always at the top of that list (in order) are Bonds and Sheffield. If Canseco still played he would be faster than the both of them.

I will try and find these numbers.

I guess we have different views on faster bat. I'm sure there are stats on faster bats (as in who hits inside pitches the best). Bonds has that loopy uppercut swing, while Sheff has that hard vicious line-drive swing. The ball comes off Sheff's bat harder than anyone in the league, this I'm sure of. When you see him hit balls into crowds, it's scary. Barry hits popups and what not with his uppercut, while Sheff just loads up and rips line drives, this is what I mean by him having a fast bat, he swings literally sooooo hard.

I agree. Bonds swing isn't nearly as "violent" as Sheff's. Sheff looks like he could hit a Volkswagon out of Polo Grounds with his swing. Bonds just has a "faster" bat speed.

They are both on roids so who cares, right?
