Johan Santana glitch.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a KC franchise and, after getting swept by Detroit, I flew into Minnesota. The calendar listed the pitching matchup as Santana vs. Hernandez (my #1), and I got beat. Game 2 comes along and on the calendar I get Liriano vs. Colon (my #2). Colon was still a little winded from his last game, so I went with Garcia (my #3) instead. Once I get into the game though, I'm facing Santana again (second game in a row).

The computer starting warming relievers in the first inning but Santana ended up going 7 strong innings anyway. Game 3 the calendar says Slowey (I think it was Slowey) vs. Garcia, but since I had just pitched Garcia the day before, I went with Colon. Who starts the game for them? Johan Santana. Again, the computer starts warming relievers in the first inning, but he goes 4 2/3 before they yank him. Facing Santana is bad enough in 1 game out of 3. 3 out of 3 is just wrong. It's unfair. And, damn it, I protest.

Why I haven't switched back to 2K7 yet I have no idea.

You shoulda downloaded the rosters before your franchise so Johan was on the Mets

LOL. You know, I thought something was up when Santana was still with the Twins. I downloaded the 2/29 roster update but I guess maybe I forgot to load it or something when I started my franchise. Oh well. I ended up quitting that franchise anyway. I'll probably start another one when the opening day rosters come out.

Yeah, you gotta load them every time you sign on if you're going to play a game outside of a franchise or something (also have to load them before starting the franchise to ensure the rosters are saved every time).

I just got back from my trip in Europe, and haven't gotten a chance to play it since I've been back, which means I haven't played in it in almost 2 weeks now. I'm super busy with classes and now trying to set up an NCAA tournament pool, hopefully I can find some time to get back into my franchise.

I found out what this glitch is. Everytime you make a change to your rotation in the middle of the season, ANY change at all, it will result in the next game having your 1st pitcher in the rotation as your selected pitcher. It's fucking annoying as shit and I can't believe they wouldn't make something to catch this.

That doesn't really bother me on my team. It did a similar thing last year (at least on my version) so I learned to just keep changing the rotation spots until the computer learns. It sometimes ends up with my worst pitcher being my ace on the depth chart, but seeing as how the depth chart is more or less just a piece of paper, that doesn't annoy me so much.

What did annoy me is that I didn't touch Minnesota's roster and Johan Santana decided he was gonna make 3 starts in a row against. One of them was in a day game after a night game, lol. I'm hoping it was just a fluke glitch but in my most recent franchise I decided to turn on the ability to edit other teams' rosters just in case it happens again.
