Patch!!!!!!!!!!
They finally released a patch in the automatic update for MLB 2k8. The patch is to fix the framrate issue and to improve the glitchiness of the game. Just played a game and was amazed how smoothe it looked and how much more fun it was to play. Post your thoughts on the new patch here.

I played it at my sisters. It improved the game play a bit but it didnt help the ugly character models. All in all I am still not satisfied with this game. But at least they are trying to fix it.

Man, and I just returned it. It just looked so flawed next to the show that I felt jipped.

Dont be angry. The patch wont make the jipped feeling go away. It does help make the game more playable though.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Hopefully I get a PS3 and then the latest Show as it looks to be the best baseball on consoles.

I think it makes it alot more playable. I was getting to the point where I could hardly play it just because the glitchiness of the play was giving me a headache. I think it runs ALOT smoother now. I know it won't change your mind but I only have one choice and I think this helps make it alot more playable.
I still prefer the joystick play rather than the button-mashing my roommate has with The Show  . But I just realized at Shea they have the new stadium in the background with cranes working all the time which is pretty badass. I do agree that some of the models suck, but I think the new patch improved the framerate that you hated before and I do think the models look a bit better than they were previously. Better late than never to fix it I guess, right?

It helps that much? I may have to go and re-rent it then....I really did like and just pulled a major trade with the Sox: Shilling, Ellsbury, Dice-K, and the backup SS for Johan Santana! The Mets jumped on it.

I didn't have to force it. In fact, I don't even think I had the backup SS in there as it limits you to 3. Dice-K, Schilling and Ellsbury for Santana isn't that bad of a trade.

Yeah, definitely...all around...
Framerate patch fixed all of my issues, and I'm really feelin the swing-stick controls...
I, however prefer the new Nationals Stadium, in 2K8... that is badass!!  |
