Extra Innings = Automatic Loss?

Seems like MLB 2K8 has it's own version of Madden's late 4th QT invincible AI. I've played like 3-4 games that've gone to extra innings in the past few days (which is odd in itself) and I've lost every single one on a home run to somebody in the meat of the other team's order.

Most recently, since I was paranoid about giving up a homer to Joe Mauer, I threw a sinker low and outside. First pitch swing, dude crushes it. Same thing seems to happen in every game. First pitching swinging, crushed ball, the other team wins. Anybody else notice that?

I don't think I have gone to extras in any of the 26 games I have played to be honest. I was close one game but managed to get a hit, SB, and another hit all with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to win it.

I agree...they usually always hit a HR in extras too. And, seem to hit my closer very well.

im not to sure about this, i went to inning 16 and ended up winning, couple of other times i have gone to 10 or 11 and they do not always win
