Underrated? I don't think it's underrated. It doesn't get enough hype though. 2k8 is a NBA fan's dream. The most realistic and precise basketball simulator on the market. Live 08 cannot compare to this game. I hope 2k9 will be just as good as 2k8.

i think i might have overplayed it when i first got it so i ended up getting bored with it (not saying its shit...i do this with every game i get) i'll get back into it before i pick up 2k9)

Nba live 09 is going to have an interesting feature. The game will allow you to download games that have recently been played. For example, if the Lakers had just played the Hawks and Kobe went crazy and scored 50 points all from the 3 point line, then you can download this data and play that game modified to re-enact the real life game. So when you play that game, Kobe will be extremely hot from the 3-point line. I think that's a pretty cool feature.
