Haha, I never knew the Wii had a Pokemon game coming out for it already. I'm sure that'll raise the fanbase of the Wii up even more. And..The game sounds decent? Wow.

The game was first announced by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata at a Nintendo marketing event in Japan on June 7, 2006.[1][2] At the event, Iwata described Wii-to-DS connectivity using the game as an example, stating that gamers with either Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl can play battles using their Diamond or Pearl Pokémon in Pokémon Battle Revolution using their DS as a controller.[3]

It is confirmed that the title will be compatible with the upcoming Pokémon Diamond and Pearl titles for the DS, as mentioned above, and will be released in the winter of 2006, after Diamond and Pearl.[1][2] It will also utilize the WiiConnect24 service in some way.[2]

Key differences from other Pokémon console games shown in the demo so far are that the Pokémon can now actually strike the opponent while both Pokémon are rendered on the screen, instead of seeing one Pokémon attacking and then cutting away to the second getting hit by the attack, and also, when an attack that strikes both opposing Pokémon is performed, it hits them both at the same time, which is in the video. A second feature is evidence of destructable environments, as demonstrated with the attack near the end of the video.

So far they have done pretty good but it has shitty graphics and the only thing that is new on it is the controller. I will probably wait a while and see if they have any good games then I might buy it. It has the potential to do very good but just hope it doesn't have as shitty of a game selection as the game cube or it will fail miserably.

i think a big reason is because the ps3 is so much, people decided to choose something else.
