Yeah, but its looks like those games where you plug a little baseball bat into your TV and swing it to hit the ball. Those have been around for quite a while. So if the arguement is "but this time it's wireless", I just don't get it.

Oh, I agree. They do make some great games, but lately they've been few and far between. The last game I bought for my GC was Wind Waker, and I loved it. Since then, though, nothing has grabbed my interest and I switched to Xbox and then to the 360.
I'd love to play a Wii and see what all the fuss is about!

Here I am, asking to be convinced, and no one wants to try to convert me. If you can't sell me (who WANTS to be convinced) then you'll have a hard time with those who are entirely skeptical.

I am not here to convert you. What the hell do I look like? If the videos, the press conferences and the miles of text and video don't do anything for you, then just leave. The system clearly isn't for you. I know one thing is for sure, Nintendo is bringing gaming back to the masses like they did with the original NES. I know the first place I am setting up my Wii is in the Living Room upstairs and will show it to my parents, brother and sister. Guranteed, they will want to jump right in to swing a bat or play me in a game of tennis. You know why? Because the Wii is a true form of interactive entertainment that anyone can pick right up and play. If you have arms, half a brain, and an open mind, then the Wii is right up your alley. It's funny because I remember what happened when we bought the NES... My Mom, Dad, and even my Granparents were playing Mario. Moving the controller around when they jump or leaning left and right depending on the direction they were making Mario run. Now, those movements are more than mental support... Take it or leave it, Nintendo has done this dull industry a favor.

Whatever. I tried to have an actual intelligent conversation, but that doesn't seem to be the goal of this thread. I will take your advice and leave this Wii crap to those who obviously LOOOVE it but can't tell me why.
