Should I buy a wii for the sake of it?

so the 360/ps3/pc games that feature the blood, sex, and cussing make a game more adult-oriented... more like more kid-oriented.

if anything wii is the most adult console out. i don't know many older people that play halo, but i know a lot that appreciate applications like wii sports and brain age.

i learned a while back not to let theme of a game dictate whether it was a good game or not. super mario galaxy is one of the best games i've ever had the pleasure of playing, and if you let a little thing like the shape and color of your character keep you from enjoying it, then I will venture to say that you have lost your gaming way.

The Wii does have a lot of kiddy games, which is why I got a 360, but it still does have great older games (I still have mine). Some good games to get are Zelda (It's not a "kiddy" game, and it's kickass if you're into Action Adventure and RPGs), Red Steel, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Manhunt 2, Resident Evil 4, Sonic and the Secret Rings (kind of kiddy, but mad fun), Super Mario Galaxy (Kiddy or not, great game), and Super Smash Bros. Brawl next month. Also No More Heroes is coming out eventually: a needlessly bloody rated M GTA-like open-sandbox type game. How's that? XP

As long as you have a Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3, I would recommend you buy a Wii if you have the money. It offers a break from more 'serious' games and also its pretty fun if you have family or friends come round, a lot of the games are pick up and play as well, so it is good but you will get bored if it is your only console.

i have had the wii since release....and well..........i've never played on it. i brought two games when i first got it, sold them and i aint had no more til this christmas when i got mario strikers, which is pretty cool i must admit..

The wii is more of a sidekick. THink of ps3/360 as batman, and the wii is robin.

Sidekick console or not, the PS3 or the 360 will never rack up as many sales as the Wii, its just too much fun.

My kid Bro's got one for Christmas and it is awesome, Mario Galaxy and Zelda are must haves, as well as Smash Football, Resident Evil 4, Far Cry and SSB Brawl which is due out soon.

Its NOT a ''party'' console solely, you can still sit there on your own with a few games and enjoy them as well as having a hell of a lot of fun with your mates when coupled with lots of beer.

The Wii provides a welcome break from the ' my dad can beat up your dad ' ect attitude of the 360 and PS3.

The Wii brought back the true meaning of gaming, having fun.

It shouldn't be compared to the 360 or PS3, that was not Nintendo's intention, they made it because they understand people sometimes don't want a console to show off graphics and power, they want to have fun.

This is why Nintendo are the longest running games company around, they have smacked the habit of kicking into the big kid inside all of us.

Serious gaming, yeah by all means PS3 and 360 pwn, but for pure fun and entertainment, the Wii has that all wrapped up.

You shouldn't buy the wii for the sake of it. Only buy it if you trully want it. The wii is good fun playing with other people and has some pretty good exclusives as well imo.

If you can't compare the wii to ps3/360, then why the fuck do people keep comparing the sales to ps3/360? Besides wii has 3 good games, mario, zelda, metroid, and then will get smash bros. THAT'S IT! Wii only has a few good games and over 95% of it's games are pieces of unregulated shit and unending ps2/psp ports. Besides, wii is a fad and people right now are only buying to check out this "new motion sensing machine."

Zelda, Paper Mario, Mario Galaxy, Red Steel, Resident Evil UC, Resident Evil 4, Far Cry, Metroid, Wii Sports, Wii play, Wario Ware, Wii fitness is coming out soon as well as Brawl.

The PS3 has less fucking games on it.


Nintendo decided to go with something new and it worked, the Nintendo Wii is great fun.

Whether the Wii is a gimmick or not remains to be seen, all i know is its been out for over a year and its still kicking ass, what does that tell you? can't be much of a gimmick seeing for the second Christmas running they have been like goldust because so many people have bought them.

People said the same thing about the DS and it has pwned the PSP since the day it was released.
