Anyone disappointed with brawl? - Page 3

Well I can't tell the difference really. I play both on a 20' SDTV that I bought for about 70 bucks 3 years ago. Also it's true they added a long story mode. The only problem is that it sucks balls. There's no talking at all and if you compare it as a campaign mode to any other campaign from any other game, it's pathetic. The only reason why I even bothered to play through it was to unlock characters. I just don't think they added enough new content to make brawl suddenly this great new game. While it is fun, I'm bored of it already cuz it's basically Melee v. 1.5.

Sixth of all: I wanted maybe a new mode or something else other than the basic brawl, half-assed campaign, target smash, 100-events, Home-run contest, and other stuff that we've all had before in melee. It all feels exactly the same. Maybe they should've added some new Home-run contest-ish minigames or some basketball game or a race or something. There's a reason why madden takes a lot of flak every year, it's because it's basically a roster update and brawl is basically a roster update too.

And thats exactly why I specifically said "I guess its just impossible to satisfy gamers these days." Read the post correctly before you quote it and insert wrong information in it. And you must be blind. How can you say that Brawl just added a slight polish? You mustve played melee "SIX YEARS ago on gamecube" because its definitely more than a slight polish. And if you wanted all of those minigames you can:
A. Get Mario Superstar Baseball for the Wii(you wanted more "Home-run contestish" minigames right?

B. Get Mario 3 on 3 Hoops for the DS (you did want "some basketball games" right?)

C. Get any of the Mariokart games for, SNES, N64, GBA, Gamecube, DS, and theres even one coming out for Wii. (you did want "a race or something" right?)

D. Get Marioparty. Because there were 8 of them(9 including the one for DS).

Super Smash Bros was not made for fucking minigames ok? So return it to wherever you bought it or shut up! Because you sound stupid for wanting games that Nintendo already made put into SSBB. You know why its never going to happen either? Because its a FIGHTING GAME!

Damn dude calm down. If you are trying to insult to me with your swearing and yelling, it's not working. You're just words in my computer buddy. Anyways. Brawl is basically melee with a roster update. I like how people keep dissing EA for having nothing but roster updates every year, yet people like you don't complain about a roster update that took six years to come. O and what sequel doesn't have new maps? The campaign sucks balls and the events basically all play the same as last time so the single-player this time is boring as hell. With friends over it's fun, but then again so was melee so that's nothing special. And yes brawl is not made for mini-games, but wouldn't it be nice to add some extra content that's NEW to the series other than some half-assed campaign? THe final smashes are pretty cool, but why not add more cool stuff like that?

ah cmon, it's not exactly the same, the big difference in this one isn't the graphics or gameplay
it's WI-FI!

you can't change the gameplay
it's like sports games

I'm done talking to you wbout this. Youre repeating the same shit over and over. "the single player is half assed, more minigames, roster updates" blah blah blah. All I'm saying is, if you dont like the game, RETURN IT. Because saying that they need to add new stuff isnt going to change anything.

I won't return it. It's still fun to play with friends, like melee. Don't talk to me. I don't want some pissed off 10 year old yelling at me. And of course I'm gonna repeat the same words over again because I'm trying to penetrate that thick skull of yours and hopefully making us see eye to eye. Clearly it is not working so I'm through talking to you too. I wish I was as happy as you were with brawl, but I'm just not. And to give you advice, don't swear and yell at people so much when they say something non-positive about your favorite game.

First off, I'm not disapointed. Unlike both the SSB before this one. This games controls are solid. Their isn't a weak spot in them, you don't over run ledges and you can always time your saves right. Second off, it's upgraded the graphics a lot if you can't tell the difference, that's a personal problem. Third off, the game is hella fun with or without people. Forth off, I personally don't enjoy the online play of Brawl I think that's the weakest point of the game personally. Fifth off, the story mode in ssbb is awesome if you ask me, the strongest part of the game.

^ How is it the strongest part of the game? The side-scrolling is pretty much like Super mario bros on NES. And all the levels are about the same. At least the adventure mode in Melee had some different things like get to the top in a time-limit, racing on that F-zero mission, but the missions in the adventure mode are all similar and repititve. It's a chore to complete all of them so you can unlock all the characters.
