If you wanna work out, DDR is a bit more engaging than Wii because you're actually moving your legs and body.

its a ton of fun, and im definately impressed by how they have implemented the controls into alot of games. It doesnt feel sloppy like I had originally thought. let the numbers speak for themselves.
to answer your question though, if you want a workout, head to the gym dude. Go for a walk. Play some real sports? I know thats not what your asking, but im indirectly answering I suppose.
I train for a living, but even if I did not, the only game on the wii that remotely made me feel an increased heart rate, was the boxing. That will break you a sweat, but until they come out with a "full" boxing game, thats played in too short of sessions to do anything for ya. You have to have a heart rate sustained optimally of 80%bpm for over 20 mins before you even start touching fat. Before that its just excess carb energy being fried up.
aaaanyhow, wii fit, may be different.. havent looked into it. And if you really really jam on some DDR, that can "help" but.. you can DDR on any system.
in the wii's defense, DDR incoorporates your hands as well as your feet.
