True. I have been wearing the wrong prescription contact in my right eye for two weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I guess what I was trying to ask if it fills up the whole screen or do I have to make the screen wide.

There is an option in the options for 16:9 or 4:3.
Just make sure you select 16:9 or it will look squished or streched.

It ships with COMPOSITE, which looks awful on my 50inch Samsung plasma.... it's a bit fuzzy... so I bought the COMPONENT cables and the colors are awesome, the fuzziness is gone, etc. The jaggies are still there, b/c the top resolution is 480p, but that's better than 480interlaced that comes through the composite cables.
You can set it to 16:9. Mario Kart Wii is my FAV Wii game ever and it looks phenomenal on my TV with component cables, in 16:9 ratio.

Yup. It's not just clarity, it's colors as well. Colors are drab on composite.. it's so 1991, LOL. The component really allows the games to look better.

You are exactly right. I bought a 50' Kuro and a Wii a few days ago. I bought the components connector and it does look pretty good. As good to be as expected.
My wife loves it.
