I have both. The Wii is more fun when friends come over and the 360 is better for sitting by myself and being unsociable. So do you have lots of friends or are you a loner? That will decide which console is better for you.

I have a Wii and 360 and my Wii rairly gets used except for Brawl by my youngest two kids. (Ages 7, 12, and 13). I'd say the Wii gets used about 1-2 hours in a week where the 360 would get 40+. Before Brawl the kids didn't use the Wii at all even though I have over 50+ games for it.

The friends I have will absolutely NOT play on the Wii and when they come over it's all 360.

If you have friends who have Wiis or friends who are casual gamers who don't know any different or you have lots of disposable income then get a Wii.

40+ hours a week of the 360 and you have 3 kids?? Your wife must hate you! Maybe leave her the Wii as part of the divorce settlement so you can take the 360 with you!

My son's 4. The Wii is all he wants to do. Nothing else, just the Wii! I have to pull him off it so he can do other activities which are non-gaming related. I have kids games on my 360 (orginal Xbox titles) and PS3 and he used to love them but get bored of them after a while.

As far as friends coming over, well I guess I have more friends which enjoy the casual gaming aspect. We enjoy having drinks and making fools of ourselves by jumping around and all that. We play guitar hero like rockstars (wireless guitars are a godsend!), Singstar and other stupid party games which anyone can play. Many of my friends are non-gamers.

Personally I can't sit with a controller for that long and play an FPS. Especially when I'm getting drunk with mates. I'd rather actually have fun in a much more social way.

As someone who owns both, I'd say there's no comparison. 360 over Wii without a second thought. Of course, my girlfriend would disagree. She enjoys playing games targeted to 5 year olds and senior citizens.

TaeketsuFFXI, thanks for clarifying what that they should have figured themselves. And just to make the others happy…yes yes my middle name is Excessive. Amazingly, I can manage to juggle a fair bit of playing time as I often play games with the kids and my wife does her “thing” during those periods.

It seems that alot of women seem to enjoy non-committal, simplistic, and repetitive type of games which the Wii has an an abundance of. Even with that said my wife, for whom I bought the Wii for, would rather play SceneIt (360) or Mejong and Party Poker on her laptop.

Interesting, last night the kids have reverted to playing XBOX1 games instead of the 360 or Wii. You should have heard the laughing and howling as they were playing to all hours of the night. Last week it was the PS2 playing Sly Cooper games.

I think the key point is it seems that for those who have a Wii along with a 360 and perhaps other consoles the Wii gets the short end of the stick...or no stick at all.

i'd say 360 ive played both and 360 just has better games. but the wii is a better family game. for me a 360 is over a wii. but it all depends how u use it.
