I am buying a 360 elite in a few days, I want my first game for it to be oblivion. I played Morrowind quite extensively, does oblivion blow it out of the water?
I'm assuming the answer to that question is yes, I just want opinions. Any other advice?

I'm not enjoying the beggining of this game. The king just got killed and I'm in the sewers. It's been quite a boring experiance, does it get better? Are all dungeons like this?
I got the collectors edition in a 2 for £40 deal. I got Viva-Pinata and Halo 2 aswell.
So it's no great hardship if its not the right game for me...

It gets better, trust me. The beginning is really lame, but as you progress it becomes much more enjoyable.

Yeah the sewers are the worst part of the game. The best part of the game is the freedom and the one place you don't get that is the sewers at the start.

Your right! I just closed the first Oblivion gate. I joined the Fighters and Mage Guilds. In the fighters guild, those damn theives are really starting to bug me. On my way to the Oblivion gate, I came across a strange glowing rock. I was pleasantly surprised by what it gave me, but dissapointed how it dissapeared in a middle of a battle.
Ive also got annoyed with the damn Fudgehogs on Viva Pinata! >_<

to get rid of the fudgehogs just get the watchlings im level 43 on there send me a mssg or a friend request and ill get u some pinatas
